Deacon John Kerr
Deacon John Kerr was born and raised in Kingsville, Maryland. He is the second of three sons born to Nelson and Anne Kerr. John was baptized at the age of 20 at First Baptist Church of Papillion, Nebraska.
He was ordained a Deacon at 39 years old on Sunday June 4th, 2006 at Parkside Baptist Church of Kenosha Wisconsin. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Management from Southern Illinois University and Project Management Certificate from National Defense University, Information Resources College. He has been employed in multiple professions over the years, most recently as a civil servant in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection with over 20 years of service.
John joined the Pleasant Prairie Baptist Church of Kenosha, Wisconsin in 2010 and soon became involved in multiple church ministries. He has served as an Usher, Sunday School Teacher, Assistant Treasurer, Buildings and Ground Team, Nominating Team and Praise Team Member. He served in multiple other ministry positions before coming to Pleasant Prairie.
Deacon John Kerr continues to serve as God leads. He currently resides in Kenosha, Wisconsin with his wife Sheri and has two daughters, Jessica and Michelle.
